CONGRATS TO CHUCK DETROYE

On January 29, 2011, Judy and I, attended a retirement party held at Quaker Steak & Lube, Middleton, WI, honoring Chuck DeTroye, a GREAT friend of ours, as well as SBI's.  We had a wonderful time catching up with Chuck and his wife, Sally, as well as their children and other family members.

I met Chuck back in 1975 at King Pin Lanes in Fort Atkinson, WI.  Chuck was a CSE (customer service engineer) for Brunswick at the time.  After introducing myself and talking at length about pinsetters, he mentioned that Leisure Lanes in Monroe, WI may be looking for a mechanic.  Well, I started working as a mechanic at Leisure Lanes one day after graduating high school and the rest is history.

Through the years, Chuck remained a great friend, adviser and mentor to me.  Even after leaving Brunswick, and working for Nicolet Instruments and WPS, Chuck and I continued our friendship.  He was very good with electronics and computers, and helped SBI out with our very first 386 computer and accounting software.

Congratulations Chuck, have wonderful retirement, Enjoy!
